Starflare was founded by Tim Collinson, a cyber security consultant with over 15 years' experience helping organisations manage risk, achieve certification, and build security into how they actually work, not just how they're audited.
I spent years leading security in-house, across professional services, real estate and logistics-scale businesses. What I kept seeing was the same gap: plenty of organisations needed serious security leadership, but not enough to justify a full-time hire. That's the problem Starflare solves. I work as a part-time head of security for businesses that need the expertise without the overhead, stepping in for a fixed project, or staying on as an ongoing fractional resource.

Who I work with
Starflare works with SMEs and mid-market firms that need to take security and compliance seriously, but don't want, or need, a permanent in-house function to do it. My own background is strongest in legal, finance, logistics and property, though the businesses I work with vary widely.
